How do I volunteer to be a HAT member?
Just show up to a HAT meeting and sit in. We will welcome you and get you involved.
Where and when are the HAT meetings?
The meetings are held on the 2nd Wednesday in January, April and September. The are held upstairs at the Scout Shop at 7:30pm. We also have a holiday party on the 2nd Wednesday in December at a local restaurant.
How much time would I need to donate?
Would you believe 1hr a week…. 🙂 It depends on your commitment and availabale time. Some training takes up a whole weekend others a day.
What HAT courses are there?
Backpacking, Canoeing, Caving, Climbing and Rappelling, Scuba Diving, Snorkeling, Trekking, White Water Rafting and Winter Camping. There are also four High Adventure Bases located aroung the Country (Florida Sea Base, Philmont Scout Ranch, Northern Tier and the new Summit Bechtel Reserve).
